The name, “Allen Uyeda”, should resonate with anyone who has ever been a part of the Conestoga Valley Wrestling program or any person with knowledge of CV sports history. In 1966, Allen became the first State Champion in Conestoga Valley High School history when he won gold in the 127 lb. weight class in the PIAA Wrestling Championships at Rec Hall on the campus of Penn State University. He repeated this finals appearance in 1967. He was the “gold” standard for Buckskin wrestlers of the past and continues to be for Buckskin wrestlers of the present.

We feel that there is no better way to recognize Allen’s milestone accomplishment as a CV athlete than to have the high school’s “main gym” named in his honor. As part of the school district’s current capital campaign, this endeavor involves raising $100,000 for this naming opportunity. The “Allen Uyeda Wrestling Gym” will be the site of our home wrestling dual meets and be an everyday reminder to wrestling fans of Mr. Uyeda’s distinguishing mark on our school and wrestling history.
